2017-
KTH, Royal Institute of TechnologySwedenTenure-Track Ass. Professor
Early 2017, Gaston was appointed as Tenure Track Professor at the School Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health which is a great environment to accomplish his wishes in solving real problems that society is facing.
2014-2016
University of GenevaSwitzerlandResearch&Teaching Fellow
In 2014, he was promoted to Maitre Assistant (Research and Teaching Fellow) in the University of Geneva. Apart from teaching and gathering talented postdocs and PhD students, Gaston developed the concept of solid-state thin layer electrochemistry and this invention has been implemented to solve the ‘heparinemia’ management during and after clinical surgeries.
2011-2013
University of GenevaSwitzerlandPostdoc in Bakker’s group
Then, Gaston moved to Geneva-Switzerland with hopes, enthusiasm and energy.  It was extraordinary period where he developed new electrochemical readouts based on electrochemilumiscence.
2006-2010
Rovira I Virgili UniversitySpainPh.D studies in Rius’s group
Gaston joined Prof. Rius group in mid-2006 supported by FPU Spanish Fellowship. Gaston was pioneer in introducing new types of potentiometric ion-selective electrodes based on nanostructured materials.
2000-2005
University of Buenos AiresArgentinaBachelor in Chemistry
He obtained a Bachelor in Chemistry (score: 8.42/10) in the Buenos Aires University and at the same time he was working in the Trace Analysis Laboratory.
1995-1999
Don Zeno Technical High School in ChemistryArgentina
Born in Argentina, Gaston was educated in the Don Zeno Technical Chemistry High School. He participated in National and International Chemistry Olympics from 1996 to 1999 with some excellent results, getting experience and enjoying time with other classmates.
